Michelle's Party Plan-It: Welcome and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Welcome and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! What better day to start our blog? Welcome to the Party Plan-It Designs blog where every day is reason to party!  Here you will see special party tips, recipes, tutorials and inspiration for everything party. My name is Michelle and I will be your guide. :)

To start off our blog, here is a little St. Patrick's Day party I threw together for my three sons. It was a day filled with food, fun and silliness. With 3 boys, would you expect anything less?  I set the treat table in the morning while the corned beef, cabbage and potatoes cooked to perfection.

I used items I had around the house to decorate plus items from our St. Patrick's Day party pack (stickers & water bottle labels). My youngest son had a birthday last month (more about his party to come) and I had left over balloons and helium.  I needed a backdrop so I made a "rainbow" to add some color.

I used my Cricut to make the shamrocks, I didn't have a cartridge that had a clover so I had to improvise and altered a flower from the Paisley cartridge.  I just glued them to paper doilies and a bamboo skewer and viola shamrock picks! I also made the orange mustaches with my Cricut using the Bump in the Night cartridge.

Casey from Casey's Confections sent me some wonderful personalized cookies for the mini party, not only are they adorable, they are yummy!

With my sons birthday last month and Easter on it's way, we have tons of goodies around the house, so I made some choc-mint marshmallows.  I am not a baker or a candy maker so this was my first attempt at it, but they came out pretty cute! And the boys loved them, and that's what matters most.

I hope you had a great day celebrating St. Patrick's Day and stay tuned for more!
